About Me

Kabal: Halton Hills/Midian, Ontario, Canada; I've been obsessed with many things in my life but music is at the top of the list. I started writing songs at age 9 and began experimenting with drum machines @ age 13. By grade 10 I was in my first band "Social Disorder" and I continued to play in various bands for at least a decade, including: Grasshopper, 3 n Pass, Demon Barf, Dead Homiez, Black Belt Jones, Wiggaz & Grift. I grew up on rock, metal, thrash & hardcore punk but aquired a love for rap & hip hop in 1983. In 2000 I started producing and was involved with "Rotten Utensils", a four man rap crew that saw me doing a large percentage of the production. For the last decade now I've been focusing on my solo rap project "Kabal" and I have put out numerous releases. I remember a few years ago having some doubt that I'd still be rapping by the time I hit age 40, well I turned 39 this year and feel the songs I've made in 2012 are my best work yet. I don't see myself calling it quits anytime soon.
